What the difference between perm and texture?

I am an african american 14 year old and i have natural thick (kind of nappy) black hair. i want to how will my hair be if i had a texturizer. also wats the big difference between a perm and a texturizer i wud really like 2 knowWhat the difference between perm and texture?
I would love to have hair like yours!! Well, a perm is where they put chemicals in your hair to make it stay in a certain style for 6-8. Curls, Ringlets or it can be relaxed to make it straight. I dont know what a texturizer is but i know you add texture to your hair by the way you dry it or the products you use. If i want to add texture to my hair i dry it upside down and the layers look better. It worked for me! Hope i have helped!What the difference between perm and texture?

A texturizer makes our hair curly to wavy depending how long you leave it in. If you want big curls or waves PLEASE use a big tooth comb.


Do Not leave it in for too long, follow the instructions, ALSO look at the wave pattern on your head if that is the consistency you want it. Again don't leave it in too long if you do then you've permed your hair straight.


Make sure you use some gel activator so it won't get hard and dried out. The best is either Long Aid or Worlds of Curls. If you prefer creme for your hair then you should get Care Free Curl activator.
