How do I blend a popcorn wall texture?

I put putty to fill in a couple of dents in our wall. The problem is, the walls had a popcorn texture and the places filled in are now flat and it's really obvious. How do I recreate the texture so it matches? How do I blend a popcorn wall texture?
Popcorn is blown on the ceiling(acoustic)..tnot the walls...sounds like you have a sand texture or something similar on the walls..if your calling it popcorn it is more than likely just a blown thinned down joint compound called a ';splatter';..some try to call it orange peel ..but it is globby/..orange peel is blown on but not really bumpy if it is correctly blown...it is thinned to a proper consistancy and blown at about 60 psi verses a splatter at 30 psi...They sell texture touch ups in aeresol cans that have different size tubes to simply sporay on small patches..Home depot, lowes and wal mart sells similar brands..heres a link..
