What flavor and texture do pickled walnuts have?

I remember hearing someone mention them on the British soap opera ';EastEnders';, and I was wondering what they could possibly taste like. I can't imagine eating pickled nuts!What flavor and texture do pickled walnuts have?
Taste vinegary %26amp; soft but not mushy. If you like vinegar pickles then you will probably like them. I have also had pickled water chestnuts but they are crunchy.
